Account Manager

Businesses that work with Hylink come in all shapes and sizes. Our key partners range from agencies, advertisers, and major international brands.  As an New Business Account Manager, you will own key channels for advertisers and agencies, as well as work with the Managing Partner to develop the tourism strategy for Hylink in the US. You'll collaborate closely with senior clients and tourism boards, identify sales and business-development opportunities, share Hylink’s client resources to our partners, evangelize new Hylink products and technologies throughout the tourism boards, and develop and manage strong relationships with influencers and decision-makers driving scalable product adoption and growth across the broader portfolio of client accounts. Moreover, you will develop the acquisition capabilities of your clients and agencies in order to accelerate acquisition business growth. Among your many attributes, you are persuasive, gregarious, a natural leader and skilled at solving problems and explaining complex issues. You possess excellent communication and presentation skills at the senior level as well as the ability to work closely and constructively with all areas of the business. You're particularly adept at developing close, one-on-one relationships.

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Hylink-caliber client service, research, and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Hylink's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • 5 years experience in advertising sales, marketing, tourism or media.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Ability to speak English fluently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in integrated marketing communication sales or media sales.

  • Knowledge of and established relationships within the advertising or client verticals.

  • A deep understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for its growth, and a commitment to advance Hylink's forward-looking strategies within the marketplace.

  • Balanced team player dedicated to client service.

  • Strong presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven track record of developing agency partners and successfully driving new and direct client business opportunities.

  • Local marketing expertise, especially in the tourism industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external constituents simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop recommendations and action plans.

  • Expert in tourism industry trends that applies with Chinese culture

  • Proactive self-starter

Responsibilities:

  • Evangelize Hylink within the advertising agency and key client communities.

  • Collaborate closely with agency and tourism clients to develop partner-building strategies.

  • Identify sales and business development opportunities, and keep strong relationships with agency influencers and client decision makers.

  • Solidify executive relationships and drive revenue growth with target agencies/clients

  • Own and strengthen primary agency and client relationships from executive C/B-level down to specific account teams including Media Planners and Buyers.
