RIT is looking for an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Marketing, a key position within the Division of Marketing and Communications at RIT, reporting to the Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer. The Division is responsible for the comprehensive marketing and communications of the university. The AVP position will provide strategic partnership with marketing professionals within the colleges and divisions of RIT, as well as provide oversight of the marketing intelligence for the university.
The AVP of Marketing provides strategic direction to individuals across campus that are responsible for creating measurable objectives and strategies to achieve overall University and client-specific goals. He/she will work with the marketing communications and PR/editorial teams, as well as Deans, Vice Presidents and other stakeholders to execute marketing and product tactics that will deliver on established strategies targeting external audiences (prospective students, alumni, donors and prospective donors, corporate partners, and the media) and internal audiences (faculty, staff, students, and the wider University community). The AVP of Marketing and his/her team will utilize marketing analytics and research to develop objectives and strategies, and develop and monitor success metrics to evaluate each deployed tactic.
The AVP of Marketing will serve as a member of the VP/CMO’s executive management team, providing input on mission, goals, strategy and development of the Division.
