Job Title: Principle UX Designer Department: I S Clinical Systems Shift: 1st Specialty: Job Number: 2 Date Posted: 04/09/2019 Position Type: Information Services Job Qualifications: Principle UX Designer Position Highlights: We are looking for an experienced, highly-motivated Principal UX Designer to conceive and develop exciting new opportunities to differentiate the Rush Mobile experience in the digital space. As a key leader in the UX team, the Principal UX Designer will be responsible for building overall mobile and web user experience for Rush Mobile platforms and gadgets with primary focus on delivering standard design language and patterns, working alongside a world class in-house creative team who are responsible for product design solutions that span across all of Rush's product portfolio.In this position you will drive platform and gadget design initiatives, facilitate user experience design activities and workshops, and effectively present concepts and strategies to stakeholders and leadership to socialize innovative and intuitive experiences. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. Position Responsibilities: Help to define the vision & identity for Rush Mobile health services and gadgets Work with product managers, technical leads, product design leads, and research analytics teams to identify the user experience for the Rush Mobile platform and articulate them in visual design requirements and specifications for use by internal and external teams Deliver platform and gadget style guide and design standards, while supporting rapid iteration of ideas via mock-ups and prototypes, or other methods as needed Contribute and assist in building and managing a platform & gadgets design pattern library that helps keep Pearson products unified and cohesive Lead brainstorming sessions and visual design reviews for UX team Effectively present UX team's prototyped concepts in both ad-hoc and formal presentations to diverse audience ranging from senior leaders to stakeholders, agency employees, and vendors Apply digital best practices to all assignments, including the definition of internal design UI standards within the mobile & web space Stay on the cutting edge of what's new in user experience, identifying opportunities to and experimenting with applying new interaction and graphic patterns to Rush platforms and gadgets Give technical guidance and mentor Sr. and intermediate UX Designers as well as other creatives Ensure design production is efficient and deliver at the highest quality in accordance with UX's best practices and processes Contribute to the future direction of Rush Mobile UX Design with the larger Creative Design and UX community Position Qualifications Include: Bachelor's degree in User Centered Design/Human Centered Design, Communication Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Design, or related discipline or equivalent experience required; Master's preferred 7 years of experience in UX design Expert knowledge of user experience design planning processes Expert information architecture, Interaction design, visual design skills on multi-platforms Design experience in web, mobile, tablet, and/or desktop software Experience relying on analytics and data to shape UX decisions Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Axure, and other design software) Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships A strong portfolio of innovative design work that demonstrates proficiency in interaction and visual design Security, Privacy, and Regulatory/HPIAA Compliance Healthcare Environment Experience FHIR or other EPIC development Company Highlights: Ranked among the top academic medical centers in the country, Rush University Medical Center is an outstanding place to enhance your career.
