Social Media Specialist

Job Description
Join the National Audience Development team to own managed
social media across 43 markets nationwide. In concert with the
Digital Marketing Director, use your social media skills and
expertise to create and develop thoughtful plans and processes on
all social platforms. These efforts should increase engagement,
drive audiences to site, increase brand awareness and acquire new
followers. Learn to understand and assess our professional
demographic in order to connect to business minded audiences. Fuel
your passion for social by staying up-to-date with the latest
social trends and platform updates.
Duties
Maintain and manage account performance across all 43
brands.
? Work with local representatives to push best practices and
promote account growth.
? Build community engagement with followers, subject matter experts
and potential influencers.
? Guide local representative on how to join and interact with
relevant LinkedIn groups and businesses.
? Work with the audience team to use best practices when posting
and analyze post effectiveness.
? Complete general administrative tasks for markets and internal
teams as directed.
? Assist with monthly analytics reporting using Sprout Social and
native analytics.
? On-board accounts for any new social platform.
? Support event promotion with the help of the paid social media
specialist.
? Develop a plan for "social only" content to be shared twice
weekly across all platforms.
? Responsible for increasing total site visits from all social
channels.
Skills
Advanced knowledge of social media.
? Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising,
communications or journalism.
? Experienced copywriter and eye for design.
? Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation, and
project management skills.
? Good natured and flexible.
? Strong attention to detail, timelines, and follow-through.
? Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, under tight
deadlines.
? Strong work ethic: clear dedication to product and personal work
quality.
? Ability to make informed decisions appropriate to position
level.
? BA/BS with minimum 1-3 years of work experience.
? Advanced knowledge of digital marketing principles and social
media best practices.
