The Marketing Director will overall lead the definition and execution of our market awareness and pipeline generation activities that feed our Sales organization.

This Marketing Director position is new, and pivotal to our growth strategy in 2019. Ideally the right candidate would be located in near to our Oakland offices (San Francisco/Bay Area).

This position reports directly to the VP of Sales, Chris Erickson King.

Core Responsibilities

    • Building a marketing strategy to drive inbound and outbound lead generation (e.g. vertical prioritization and sizing, MQL / SQL funnel definition, channel & messaging strategies, etc.)
    • Outbound Demand Gen Marketing Campaign Creation & Execution
    • Leading the prioritization and building of campaigns targeting discrete market verticals
    • Building / executing email campaigns in Sales Automation solutions (e.g. Outreach)
    • Marketing Performance Reporting / Website Management
    • Lead campaign management and performance tracking in Sales Automation platform
    • Managing 3rd-party Relationships that Support Marketing
    • Website developer, copywriter, designer, and Google marketing relationship
    • Management of BDR Resource

Additional Responsibilities

    • Marketing Content Strategy: Build / execute content strategy plan that drives market awareness or aligns with outbound marketing campaigns, from developing content briefs all the way through publishing
    • Field Marketing Planning & Execution: Prioritize, organize and execute a series of field marketing events / conferences

Background + Experience

    • Marketing savvy, with an understanding of the digital growth challenges Marketing executives face
    • Prior experience with the pressure of 'owning' a pipeline target. This requires more than just experience designing programs. Requires experience building programs to meet a growth goal, and quantifying the impact
    • Hands-on experience working directly with Sales Executives and BDRs to define / refine pipeline generation programs
    • Proven track record of meeting sales pipeline quarterly growth goals
    • Experience with Salesforce and WordPress
