The Role and Responsibilities


The Pricing & Planning Manager is responsible for managing the Deal Desk process for the Roku Ads organization related to our Emerging Sales business units that includes International, Political, Programmatic, and Direct Response business lines. This person will help launch and operationalize these new businesses at Roku. This person is responsible for overseeing the approval process from proposal submission to post Insertion order phase.  This position will report to the Senior Pricing & Planning Manager. 

  • Manage the Deal Desk for a high-volume, multi-faceted media business.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager, Pricing & Planning to create processes, workflows & guidelines for each of Roku’s emerging lines of business
  • Ensure accurate pricing and products are being used at the proposal submission stage
  • Help to develop pricing and rate card strategy
  • Vet all IO details to ensure that accurate and relevant rates are being used, and discounting was applied properly.
  • Act as the first point of contact for quality control related to standards, legal language, and business rules on insertion orders, inventory purchases, and NDA’s.
  • Administer contracts for signature via AdobeSign, Salesforce, and Mediaocean.
  • Vet contracts for the relevant, current, legal language. Work closely with Legal on areas of clarification and new scenarios.
  • Partner with Sales Ops teammates regarding ways to improve the Deal Desk process and automate where possible.
  • Maintain superior stakeholder relationships, while preserving authority and having the confidence to push back as needed.
  • Contribute to SOX compliance efforts by ensuring controls are in place, documented, and enforced by relevant managers.

  • Demonstrated comfort and experience handling Insertion Order
  • Familiarity with SalesForce, Mediaocean, Prisma, AdobeSign, Centro
  • Ability to effectively prioritize across a range of matters to meet timelines in a fast-paced organization
  • High degree of drive and self-motivation

Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ year’s experience in sales operations or similar function at a digital advertising company
  • 2 year’s experience working on Political business preferred
  • Strong familiarity with advertising and sales terminology
  • College degree
