Job Summary:

NetApp is looking for a Competitive Intelligence Manager who is passionate about technology and who can articulate complex technical concepts into simple terms that makes sense to Sales teams and customers. This role will be responsible for shaping our competitive positioning and messaging and supporting our global sales organization with critical insights into competitive offerings. This role will partner closely with Sales, Product Marketing and Product Management to advantageously position NetApp offerings in the Data Center, Hybrid Cloud and Cloud Services markets.


* Influence key product and GTM strategies to improve NetApp's competitive positioning.
* Work closely with product and marketing colleagues to develop essential competitive positioning and messaging for key NetApp offerings, that clearly differentiates our products in the market, and serves as a foundation for key internal and external communications.
* Create clear & consumable competitive assets and drive key competitive programs to enable Sales to more effectively sell the value of NetApp solutions and to win vs the competition. Items may include battlecards, cheat sheets, infographics, video and audio assets, blogs, presentations, or competitive displacement programs.
* Be a thought leader on the market and competitive landscape, working closely with the NetApp evangelist and social media teams to drive broader understanding of NetApp's competitive advantages and help to position NetApp relative to key market trends, ecosystem dynamics, and emerging buyer behaviors, with key influencer communities.
* Serving as a key advisor to sales, marketing and product leaders who rely on market and competitive intelligence for decision making.
* Monitoring competitive activities in partnership with other x-functional subject matter experts and keeping the business and Sales teams informed.

Job Requirements

* Requirements:

* Thorough understanding of the competitive landscape, technologies and go-to-market strategies in the Data Center Infrastructure Industry.
* Demonstrated ability to create differentiated positioning and messaging that resonates with Field teams, customers and analysts.
* Experience in developing competitive content and implementing successful go-to-to market programs for the Field
* Proven ability to work with Field sales teams in active sales cycles in a mentor role.
* Strong analytical, creative thinking and research skills with ability to think tactically to help Sales teams position to win in specific deals.
* Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.
* Superior oral and written communication skills.


* MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background is preferred
