The Manager, Creative Projects and Digital Assets (or PM ) is responsible for creating a system of organizing and tracking the Creative Departments running list of projects and priorities, utilizing our team Trello boards. In partnership with the Creative Director, the PM will be tasked with keeping team members on track to milestones and communicating with our internal and external partners in order to facilitate progress and delivery of projects on time. Responsibilities will also include specific deliverables assigned to the PM, including certain coding and testing support for our email sends, and the maintenance and coordination of a high-level Marketing team calendar. The Manager, Creative Projects and Digital Assets, is responsible for managing and supporting the process of creating all external-facing digital visual assets from photography to digital renderings for California Closets, in close partnership with the Creative Director. This includes managing all assets created from photoshoots to renderings, color corrections, retouching, tagging, distribution, legal ownership and ensuring proper use of the assets. It also includes photo shoot producing, maintaining freelance and vendor contracts, and tracking budgets.Additionally, the Manager, Creative Projects and Digital Assets is responsible for the set-up, organization, maintenance, training and use of the company s new DAM system, with the goal of improving asset accessibility while protecting the legal use of each asset. Responsible for protecting the visual assets that enhance the California Closets brand, the PM reviews all images supplied by the field to ensure they reflect the products offered by the brand, and their use is in legal compliance. Finally, the Manager acts as a resource to the field in supporting the creation of visual assets at the local level whether that means helping them resource local photographers or providing input and guidance on shot set up and selection.Responsibilities include:* Project Management support for the Creative team* Leading the overall strategy, implementation and workflow of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system for California Closets* Acts as the primary point of contact for the Product and Merchandising departments to ensure that all visual assets and marketing materials are up-to-date and accurate* Together with the Creative Director, acts as primary liaison between California Closets and various photographers and digital renderers regarding new photography, photoshoots, retouching, file delivery, and usage rights* Responsible for assigning appropriate metadata for assets to ensure accurate usage rights and search functionality* Manages the DAM system and facilitates the uploading of assets as well as maintaining, updating and upgrading the system* Registers and manages the permissions settings for internal and external users of the DAM system* Facilitates retrieval of previously cataloged images/shoots* Processes raw images using the appropriate software* Archives assets as necessary* Generates asset download reports* Maintains accurate procedures and records for the system* Keeps informed of latest Digital Asset Management technology trends and innovations* Retouches photos as needed* Acts as a resource for cropping and provides images in the requested formats to various departments and team members* Produces photo shoots as needed for product shots or special projects* Creates and manages shot lists for photo shoots* Creates and manages a photographer resource list to build a national photo team* Manages all digital rendering projects, provides project management, facilitation, and creative support as necessary* Improves the process and efficiency for the sharing of digital image assets* Protects the company s digital assets by making them searchable, accessible, and available* Collaborates on creative projects to create the best visual outcome* Email production support for coding and testingQualifications and Skills: * Bachelor s degree in related field preferred* 5+ years with project management and digital asset management in a marketing or creative department* 5+ years working on and managing photo shoots* Familiarity and proficiency in a range of project management software, such as Asana, Trello, and Smartsheets* Experience managing and/or implementing DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems* Familiarity with and basic skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign (degree of proficiency is flexible)* Strong communication and organizational skills* Detail orientated
