With nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed in-patient beds, UT Health East Texas provides healthcare services to thousands of patients annually through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service in a metropolitan service area of a quarter-million people.

Our Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced Marketing Strategist. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Marketing Department where you will be responsible for:

What You Will Be Doing:

* Serves as lead marketing strategist for assigned service lines and/or specific system-wide projects.
* Directly responsible for wide-ranging patient acquisition and retention initiatives.
* Writes and edits for a variety of publications including business letters, newsletters, brochures, press releases, fact sheets, print ads, direct mail, web and social media, among others.
* Supports the creation, execution and monitoring of the annual marketing plan, service line plan and budget.
* Responsible for managing and overseeing marketing strategies to meet measurable business and brand objectives.
* Tracks and maintains reports on return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives and projects.
* Attends and participates in professional meetings.
* Provides regular and thorough project status updates to immediate supervisor.
* Participates on the web editorial team and works closely with the Ardent Shared Services digital and social media specialists to develop content and ideas for numerous campaigns.
* Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge with fellow team members.
* Tracks and meets budget for assigned areas.
* Ensures patient confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.
* Helps improve processes and strategies for more effective outcomes.
* Takes ownership of assignments and other duties as assigned.

So what experience are we looking for in our Marketing Strategist?

* B.A. in Communications, Mass Media, Journalism, Marketing and/or related degree.
* Five or more years in direct or indirect healthcare experience is preferred.
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office software with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint.
