Programmatic Media Buyer
H&L Partners is seeking a Programmatic Media Buyer to join the Media team in the Oakland office, situated just off the water at Jack London Square. The Programmatic Media Buyer will take part in executing media within an in-house trading desk, setting up campaigns, and optimizing to improve performance. · Work under the Programmatic Media Manager to build, launch, and manage digital campaigns across all forms of programmatic media, including paid search, social, display, video, and native
· Implement buys in demand-side platforms, execute testing strategies, and deliver insight into the implications of campaign constraints, such as scale, ramp-up time, creative used, and cost per conversion
· Continually improve campaign performance via testing and analysis of performance-based ad copy, positioning, targeting, etc.
· Manage campaign spend and performance, depending on client budget and KPIs
· Analyze and draw conclusions, leveraging third-party data analysis tools, campaign results, website analytics data, and demand-side platform analytics tools
· Effectively manage multiple clients across multiple platforms simultaneously
· Work on other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Hands-on optimization experience in programmatic media or other relevant media types
· Knowledge of proven optimization techniques and bid management in programmatic media
· Experience in media planning and reporting
· Knowledge of the targeting capabilities of digital ads, by channel and by underlying technology
· Strong aptitude for numerical detail and analysis
· 1–3 years’ experience in performance marketing and/or programmatic media
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Analytical and strategic thinking
· Communication: written and spoken (presentation skills included)
· Planning and organization
