Creative Director

Sam Hill Entertainment seeks to hire a Creative Director to oversee the creation of marketing materials for our bands. The Creative Director’s role is to translate the identity of a band into a set of marketing materials created by various disciplines, and oversee the production and quality of those materials, within established brand guidelines, timeline and budget.

This job represents an opportunity to lead and grow a team that has a large impact on a dynamic industry. The ideal candidate has a desire to push creative boundaries, respects the power of a rigorous creative process, cultivates the ideas of each creative contributor, and strives for authenticity when conveying a product through marketing materials.

  • direct the activities of the creative department to produce effective materials for our bands

  • interpret and develop each band’s brand identity into creative elements

  • develop and articulate a creative strategy and vision for each project or campaign

  • provide creative direction as needed for all materials, with emphasis on video and photography

  • approve creative work throughout production to ensure consistency with project brief, quality standards and brand guidelines

  • ensure our bands are presented in a fresh compelling way and differentiated from each other

  • enforce, refine, and evolve established creative processes

  • innovate marketing materials techniques and digital marketing strategy to maintain our competitive advantage and differentiate our brand

  • use marketing data to inform creative strategy

Required Experience:

  • development of brand identity

  • directing or managing video production

  • creative direction of video, photography, graphic design, and copy

  • managing a team of creative professionals

  • strong familiarity with popular music from the 1960s to the present

Helpful Experience:

  • music management, production or performance

  • copywriting and/or editing

  • digital marketing
