Position Purpose:

We are looking for a results-oriented, self-motivated, and strategically-minded advertising salesperson with a strong network and existing business relationships which can be turned into potential clients for our agency. The right candidate will have deep understanding of the advertising industry and our competition.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Create and target advertising top prospects at brands and brand-review consultancies.
  2. Develop responses to RFIs and RFPs and organize presentations.
  3. Help close business for the agency.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Develop targets and relationships:
    • Lead new business strategy, including identifying categories, relevant positioning and outreach models, with support from internal new business team.
    • Initiate contact and continually cultivate relationships with potential new business prospects.
    • Gain understanding of key prospects’ business and marketing challenges.
    • Work with cross-functional leadership team to develop materials for ongoing outreach.
    • Create opportunities to pitch new accounts.
    • Identify potential new business leads and evaluate them with internal leadership team.
    • Market SRG’s extensive advertising capabilities to new business prospects and within the industry with passion and enthusiasm.
    • Attend events and conferences to meet potential clients and market.
    • Keep a watchful eye on competitors, consumers, and the changing landscape to maintain or elevate SRG’s competitive advantage.
  • RFI and RFP management for all advertising pitches:
    • Qualify all in-bound advertising opportunities.
    • Work with new business team to develop RFI responses.
    • Manage RFI/RFP/pitch process, prepare pitch materials, and attend new business presentations, as needed, along with new business team.
    • Organize and direct logistical requirements for presentations.
  • Close business for the agency:
    • Proven record of new business acquisition in multiple categories.

Skills and Requirements

  • Eight years of strong advertising and marketing experience, including a minimum of two years in a business development role within a high-profile advertising agency.
  • Extremely strong at presenting and influencing others, formally and informally.
  • Passionate relationship builder with the talent to work their network and win others over.
  • Proven record of new business acquisition in multiple categories.
  • Ability to understand and reflect our agency culture and strengths; collaboration and kindness actually matter.
  • Ability to attend networking and related events on behalf of the company.
  • Ability to collaborate with key agency staff to determine goals and formulate strategy.
  • Strong passion for marketing anld a desire to stay on top of marketing trends.
