Job Overview

The Sales & Marketing Technology Leader is a critical strategic partner to the Communications Segment and Business Units. The Process Leader will lead the planning and implementation of Lead To Quote IT initiatives for the Communications Segment with a focus on technology solutions and processes that will effectively enable BU strategy to support growth, operational effectiveness, extraordinary customer experience, and operating efficiency. This includes turning strategies into tangible initiatives and projects detailed against execution timelines. For this role, a proven leader with demonstrated success leading cross functional teams as well as driving strategic technology initiatives throughout a sizable organization is essential.

The Sales & Marketing Technology Leader will be a thought leader who is able to work equally effectively with individual team members as well as executive management. From a personal standpoint the successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment and will:
  • Provide transformational thought leadership for Sales and Marketing process/systems including all aspects of sales and marketing operations - marketing campaigns, lead management, opportunity tracking, account planning, sales forecasting, quoting, sales compensation and more.
  • Have process improvement knowledge and experience developing ongoing continuous improvements with quantifiable results in upgrading talent, processes, and systems.
  • Be influential in advancing the business through technology investments, business process improvements and change management.
  • Be a strong collaborator able to simplify the complex into succinct executive summaries, able to see different perspectives and have tough conversations to resolve conflicts; Speak with and inspire confidence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partners with the business units in the creation of technology and business processes to advance business strategies, facilitate ongoing planning for IT investments and align business strategies with IT investment and priorities.
  • Maintains Sales and Marketing IT strategy and corresponding roadmaps considering internal and external best practices and benchmarks, investment levels, process design, change management and KPIs required to ensure business value.
  • Identifies and quantifies business opportunities and seeks investment for high priority initiatives.
  • Establishes and manages project portfolio investment parameters. Gains alignment for the creation and management of business parameters (scope, schedule, budget, benefits) and their corresponding flexibility levers.
  • Accountable for overall project oversight and internal client satisfaction.
  • Aligns business needs with appropriate service levels and manages expectations with their business partners relative to IT services.
  • Creates a culture across teams that drives successful delivery and adoption of technology and business process solutions. Build network with internal & external experts, suppliers & stakeholders

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Sales and Marketing business processes.
  • Significant experience in strategy, development, implementation and use of IT systems.
  • Experience with CRM (ideally Salesforce.com), Marketing Automation and Order/Quote system
  • Able to travel occasionally as needed.
