Strategy & Evaluation Intern

Position: Strategy & Evaluation Internship Location: New York City - 10017 Start Date: May 28, 2019 End Date: August 2, 2019 THIS IS A PAID INTERNSHIP Internship Responsibilities: The Strategy & Evaluation group is responsible for the strategy development and evaluation of campaigns. This includes qualitative and quantitative research on the target audience, analyses of donated media received by the campaigns, public opinion studies tracking attitudes and behaviors, digital and social media analyses, and other research activities as needed. An interest in and/or experience in social marketing, communications and market research is beneficial. Interns are encouraged to attend internal Ad Council staff meetings as well as some client meetings to learn about the campaign development and evaluation process. Also, we can provide time and support for interns to conduct independent research on social marketing relating to Ad Council programs. Additional tasks include: Enter and analyze campaign results data; Draft PowerPoint reports for campaigns to demonstrate impact. Support the team in developing cross-campaign benchmarks to better contextualize results. Review the latest industry research and academic research on marketing trends, market research methodology, and social marketing effectiveness. Assist the team with landscape and literature reviews as well as target audience research, which inform campaign strategy development. Collaborate with Ad Council interns to identify the next pressing social issue to become an Ad Council campaign. The intern team will work through the end of the summer program to research, develop and present a campaign proposal to the Ad Council staff. Qualifications: • Undergraduate-level student with concentration in the social sciences, communications or marketing, preferred • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented • Proficient in a variety of statistical methodologies and software (e.g. SPSS), preferred • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel Access) • Some familiarity with market research methodologies, including survey methodology • Some familiarity with digital analytics, such as Google Analytics for website measurement • Good team player and independent worker; ability to juggle several projects at once About the Ad Council: The Ad Council is where creativity and causes converge at scale.
