Under general supervision of the Vice President of Advancement &
Enrollment Strategy, the Senior Director of Marketing and Public
Relations leads the overarching marketing strategy for the College.
The Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations will provide
the Vice President of Advancement and Enrollment Strategy and
college leadership team with short and long-term plans and
strategies grounded in modern data-informed marketing best
practices. The Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations
directs the Marketing and Communications Office efforts and
oversees teams responsible for marketing, digital strategy,
creative services, and public relations. The position works closely
with various CNM stakeholders to provide operational assistance and
consultative services on various initiatives undertaken by the
College. This role includes leading a wide variety of projects
while collaborating with diverse departments across the College to
meet organizational objectives and goals in support of enrollment
and other business opportunities.

Leads, directs, and manages activities of the Marketing and
Communications Office including the areas of marketing,
advertising, creative services, digital strategy, and public
Ensures all initiatives and the work of the Marketing and
Communications Office align with and reflect the College's Vision,
Mission, and Values and its strategic goals of Student Success,
Community Success and Organizational Excellence and
Develops and oversees execution of a comprehensive marketing
strategy that meets the College's enrollment goals in consultation
with executive leadership and departmental leaders.
Directs and manages CNM's public relations and community
engagement efforts and events, including special internal and
external events.
Represents the College and exercises decorum with integrity and
adherence to CNM core values at all times.
Advises and supports College leadership on marketing and
communications strategies and planning of resources to meet
enrollment goals.
Performs marketing campaign and budget performance analysis and
reports such as dashboards, student journey and lead performance
analysis, and overall return on marketing investment analysis to
support decision-making.
Leads a campaign-focused marketing strategy that supports
College objectives and delivers a high-quality student experience,
honing methods that support the CNM brand.
Serves as a key member of the emergency response and
communications team, and as such is accessible at any
Collaborates with community members to enhance connections,
build relationships, and facilitate understanding of CNM's role in
the community.
Oversees creative services and leads design and planning of
multimedia content production for a range of distribution
Performs other related duties of a similar nature and level as


Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
Ten (10) years experience in a marketing and communications
strategy role including seven (7) years of supervisory and budget


Experience in higher education marketing and public relations
Demonstrated experience with development and execution of a
comprehensive marketing strategy for membership or student
Experience in an advisory role to executives leadership in the
areas of marketing, public relations, and market demand.
Experience executing marketing strategies including a mix of
digital and traditional marketing.
Experience in emergency and/or crisis communication.
Experience in brand management across multiple product
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM and/or Plone or other
