Pandora's Web Platform team is looking for a technical leader to provide vision for the future, build a world class team of engineers, and collaborate with our engineering team. Successful candidates have a track record of delivering high quality software, building a collaborative team culture, and developing new leaders and subject matter experts.


  • Lead the definition and development of our web platform

  • Mentor and coach a team of engineers, from junior to staff level, with focus on career growth and increasing ownership across the team

  • Drive best practices including test development, code reviews and release coordination

  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, designers and Quality Engineering to ensure successful launch of features

  • Assume project management and scrum master roles as needed

  • Expand the existing team of engineers by recruiting and hiring top talent

  • Advocate for the team within the wider organization, and provide vision for engineering-driven improvements

  • Have a strong sense of ownership, initiative and partnering with the team to deliver high quality software


  • Extensive experience leading a technology team that delivers on key goals while also being involved in the determination of those goals and strategic direction

  • Prefer two+ years managing software engineers, effective coach and mentor for junior to senior engineers

  • Solid understanding of web applications, development experience a strong plus.

  • Experience with Ad-supported consumer web application, ad serving, ad targeting, integrations with Ad partners and marketplaces.

  • Experience managing multiple projects comprising short and long development cycles, working closely with business stakeholders to communicate and deliver against various goals

  • Proven track record of delivering high quality software on schedule

  • A progressive management style emphasizing openness, collaboration, and shared goals

  • Outstanding collaboration skills with a proven ability to work cross functionally in order to establish and meet shared organizational goals

  • Exemplary communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent

Plus requirements:

  • Experience as a full stack developer for consumer web applications

  • Experience developing object oriented software in Java or equivalent OO language
