Job Description: Role Title: Senior UX Researcher

Line of Business: Client's Digital Strategy & Innovation

Duration: 12 months from start date

Work Location: Toronto, 671 University Avenue

Hours (is there a possibility of OT): Monday-Friday, 9:00 am 5:00 pm. No overtime expected, but may be required on an as-needed basis.

Interview Process: 2 rounds of in-person interviews. 1st round with a senior resource on this team, 2nd round with the hiring manager.

Reason the Role is Open: Net new positions to support increased team workload

Group Information: User Experience Research Team. This team provides consultative services to various teams within Client by providing the customer's point-of-view through surveys, focus groups, usability testing, client interviews, card sorting tasks, eye-tracking heat maps, and more.

Who Will the Candidate Be Working with on a Daily Basis?: This resource will be working closely with their fellow team members, the project manager, strategists, designers, and the development team for this project/application.

Daily Job Duties/Activities: Testing new financial product concepts & in-flight design alternatives, performing competitive analysis of existing products, conducting primary research (directly engaging clients/customers) such as running and facilitating usability testing, card sorting, deploying surveys, analyzing qualitative feedback, then summarizing the results of their research and presenting to senior stakeholders, making recommendations based on the data.

What is the Project the Contractor will be Working On?: This role will be supporting a variety of client-facing projects throughout the bank at various stages.

Must-Have Skills/Experience:
" 5+ years of experience with UX design and research
" 3+ years of experience conducting customer research in relation to electronic/digital products

Nice to Have:
" Educational background in Research or related fields such as Human Factors, User Experience Design, Service Design, Strategic Foresight, etc.
" Participation in usability research conferences and workshops and related activities outside of the workplace
" Any UX certifications from the following: HFI (Human Factors International), Akendi, or Nielsen Norman
" Applying lean UX research methods in agile environment
