Oregon Tech is seeking applications for a Graphic Designer position in the Office of Marketing, Communications, Public Affairs (MarCoPa). This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the main campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The Graphic Designer provides a comprehensive range of graphic and visual design and production services for the university, including print, digital, photography and videography, for all of Oregon Tech's campuses and sites. Responsibilities: Design, edit, produce and manage publications and projects of print, digital, video, and other materials for specific target audiences. Responsibilities also include coordinating projects and production standards and schedules with internal writers/editors, and external printers, photographers, etc. Understand and execute pre-press and printing processes; including preparing electronic files for print or digital publication. Evaluate proofs and attend press checks on larger projects to ensure accuracy and quality of work. Assure product distribution working with internal clients, including mail-house coordination. Coordinate with department Director and other MarCoPa members in ensuring proper use of university's branding and visual image; update, revise or create original logos, logotypes and other visuals related to branding and brand management. Required: 4+ Years of Graphic Design experience OR Associate Degree + 3 years of Graphic Design experience; OR Bachelor's Degree + 2 years of Graphic Design experience. Degree may be in Graphic Design, Graphic Art, Fine Art, or closely related field. Preferred: Experience working in higher education.
