Tri-County Technical College is seeking a creative, energetic, and client-focused individual to serve as Marketing Director. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Director is responsible for creating and directing a comprehensive marketing strategy that results in continually building and promoting the College brand while achieving and sustaining enrollment. Job duties include creating a comprehensive marketing strategy, creating multi-channel marketing plans in support of the strategy, spotting marketing opportunities, serving various internal and external clients, and supervising marketing staff. The successful candidate will have experience in applying current marketing trends to attract and retain a diverse student body, experience using data and information to make decisions, and a track record of collaborating with diverse internal and external constituents to achieve shared goals. Job Purpose:
Serving as a direct report to the Senior Vice President, the Marketing Director is responsible for creating and directing a comprehensive marketing strategy that leverages market segmentation strategy, program marketing plans, and marketing tactics that results in achieving enrollment goals and promoting the College brand. Job Duties:
1 Defines target markets, marketing channels, and resources required to achieve enrollment goals for both new and continuing students and present the college's programs and services to the community. Defines marketing outcomes using academic program reviews and labor market environmental scan data, resulting in alignment of academic programs with target markets. Works in collaboration with the Senior Vice President, the Director of Economic Development and Government Relations, the Public Relations Director, and academic program administration to champion the College to the public. Assists leadership in determining and continually refining the desired brand image of the college. 20% 2. Ensures the College website, social media, and other electronic communications supports marketing objectives and promotes the desired brand image. Provides creative input and marketing content for the college's website. Serves as primary responsible person for the college's website. Assists departments as needed or requested in creating effective multi-media content. 15% 3. Assists the Director of Economic Development and Government Relations, the Senior Vice President, Institutional Research and relevant external agencies in identifying market trends by: Estimating demand for programs and services using relevant market data; Utilizing environmental scans, labor market data, and academic program reviews to define target markets; and, Employing market segmentation strategies to identify populations that could be served by our college, including their interests, needs and priorities. 20% 4. Creates and manages the annual marketing budget. Tracks, analyzes and interprets results of advertising expenditures. Provides support of budgetary control by strategically aligning marketing expenditures to effectively achieve the marketing strategy outcomes. 5% 5. Designs and implements a comprehensive plan and budget to promote academic programs, college services, and the student experience in a way that supports the college's value proposition and the academic program enrollment goals. Collaborates with the Dean of College Transitions to align marketing plans with an overarching enrollment management strategy. Collaborates with the Assistant Vice President for Student Support and Engagement to align marketing plans with the overarching student engagement strategy. Aligns the college's program mix with market segments to create a comprehensive marketing plan. Aligns target markets with academic programs to create unique program marketing plans. Collaborates with and provides resources to departments on promotional materials to ensure content reflects the College brand. Continuously improves marketing efforts as the enrollment funnel is monitored to ensure optimal effectiveness of marketing strategies in reaching targeted populations. Develops and updates the college's Style Guide and Service Catalog. 20% 6. Engages in professional development to improve job competencies and leadership competencies. Serves on college committees and projects as appropriate. Assists with special events and other duties as assigned. 10% 7.
