Communications Specialist

Communications OfficerConsolidated Utility District This position will assist with communications to the media, including preparing articles, press kits, press releases, and other content initiatives as well as cultivate and manage relationships with media reps. Successful candidates must have a BS degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communications in a professional work environment. Competencies Include: Business acumen, communication, exceptional writing and editing skills, strong computer and internet research skills, reporting skills, relationship management, and ethical practice. Other experience required includes: Strong relationships with media outlets, experience in writing press releases and media advisories, solid experience with social media, experienced in both broadcast and print media interviews, and event planning/project management experience.
