The person in this position will find and research the digital needs of local businesses, ultimately creating revenue through cold calls and strong follow through. This individual will determine the online marketing needs of a variety of customers through talking with business owners, staff and analyzing their websites (social etc.) One of the primary focuses of this position will be to create sales appointments for Daily Chronicle sales reps. The reps will then use the information and tactics recommended by the sales development representative to make presentations and close sales.
In addition to doing pre-call work for the Chronicle sales team, this individual will also make some sales calls on their own, and may be present along with the sales reps during some client meetings.
The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of all things digital including but not limited to: SEM, SEO, PPC, display advertising, video pre-roll, geo-targeting and more.
This individual should have the ability to establish rapport with clients and to be comfortable in sales situations. This position offers a competitive salary and commission package, health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401K plan.
