Our goal in Product Marketing is to drive customer acquisition and adoption through developing a go-to-market strategy that brings the value of O'Reilly to life for ou r target audience, and enables the success of teams across the organization.

About the Job:

It's an exciting time to join the growing Product Marketing team as we uncover opportunities to have a big impact on the success of O'Reilly. As Sr. Product Mark eting Manager, you'll play a central role in bringing O'Reilly's offerings to market. You'll partner closely with the Product Management team to make sure we're aligning the value of the product to the needs of our target audience, and develop positioning and go-to-market strategies to support the successful launch and adoption of our online learning platform. You'll help define customer journeys and work with our product, ux , marketing, and customer success teams to develop and test offerings and messages to improve usage and retention.

This position is responsible for:
  • With Product Marketing Director, create Go-to-Market strategies to launch new products and features to our prospect and customer segments
  • Help develop lifecycle-based segmentation strate gy and marketing program for customers to support retention by ensuring we're delivering value to our customers
  • Develop close partnership with Product Management team to ensure we're creating the right offering for our audience. You'll bring your knowledg e of the market and value proposition to help the Product Team identify new opportunities and develop their vision.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across channels to ensure we're using positioning to speak with \"one voice\" to our audiences throughout their experience with O'Reilly
  • Work with Product Management on communicating the positioning to internal audiences for feature releases
  • Create, implement, and optimize product positioning and messaging for the learning platform and its features
  • Own the communic ation of the customer-facing product roadmap to broader marketing team so they're informed on what's coming next
  • Work with marketing and product research teams to identify research needs and build our understanding of the market and customer. Provide marke t intelligence and strategic guidance on how to use it to internal teams.
  • Collect feedback and iterate quickly on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies

    About You:
  • BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
  • You have 5+ years marketing or sales experience, Product Marketing experience preferred
  • SaaS experience preferred
  • Ready to continuously grow: You've got a lot of marketing expertise under your belt, and you're enthusiastic and able to build your skills and knowledge as you go
  • Desire to teach: Product Marketing is a new function at O'Reilly. You need to be able to bring colleagues along with your process and educate on the value of Product Marketing through doing exceptional work.

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • Four year college degree
  • 5+ years experience with Product Marketing or relevant SaaS sales and marketing experience
