Position Summary:
The Marketing Director, Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) is responsible for devising and executing the downstream market development strategy focused on MI approaches to ablation and left atrial appendage management. This role will partner and collaborate closely with Sales, in particular the VP, Minimally Invasive Sales, to develop strategies and programs to accelerate and expand the minimally invasive business. This role will coordinate efforts with the Franchise Director of EP Solutions (upstream mkt), the Prof Education team, and the Corporate Communications team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as overall MIS market leader and the general champion of the MIS franchise, both to the field and to AtriCure senior leadership.
  • Partner with the VP, Sales to define the MIS business plan to grow the franchise.
  • Make strategic business recommendations to senior leadership based on thorough analysis of the market opportunity, competitive dynamics, and industry best-practices.
  • Provide strategic insights in support of business goals such as market segmentation, account targeting, and return on investment for various business approaches.
  • Plan, communicate, and execute market development initiatives including physician and hospital programs, marketing campaigns, conference/meeting programs, and field team initiatives.
  • Become a trusted resource for the sales organization, supporting them in the field to drive key market initiatives.
  • Contribute to the onboarding and ongoing education of the field team.
  • Develop and maintain deep, collaborative customer relationships with key Electrophysiologists to advance MIS market development initiatives.
  • Create momentum and foster a collaborative environment which supports open communication and exchange of creative ideas
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required
  • Typically, eight plus years of progressive work experience in marketing, sales or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build growing therapies in the EP or related fields resulting in higher adoption rates.
  • Strong command of market development principles; and a developed network of consultants and vendors.
  • Direct knowledge of physicians in the Afib medical practice.
  • Skilled at managing through influence and at quickly earning the trust of peers and customers.
  • Experienced at breaking down complex therapies into simple, effective messages that are easily internalized.
  • Mastery of verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MBA or higher degree
  • Experience with catheter-based ablation or percutaneous LAA therapies
  • Sales or Therapy Specialist experience
