The Public Affairs Department provides a consistent and unified voice for CAP in matters of public awareness, state and federal legislation and strategic positioning of the organization with our stakeholders and throughout legislative or regulatory processes. In addition, the department coordinates all internal and external communications supporting CAP's business objectives. In this creative role as a valued team member of the Public Affairs Department, you would take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into images, layouts and other designs. You would work on a variety of products and activities such as websites, infographics, videos, advertising, booklets, posters, exhibitions and displays, organizational communications and identity, supporting CAP's brand. The successful candidate for this position will have a related associate's degree plus five years of professional commercial design experience and a valid driver's license. You should have extensive experience with graphic design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with mockups, web design, multimedia presentation and animation. You should also have working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript, animation programming. Excellent communication skills, social media skills, and active listening skills are essential to being successful in this position.
