Vice President for Strategic Communications and Marketing

The University of Florida seeks candidates for the position of Vice President for Strategic Communications and Marketing, reporting to the President.  The successful candidate will be a member of the University Cabinet and will have responsibility for overall communications and marketing strategy for the university, including the development and implementation of an overarching strategic communications, marketing and public affairs plan that is innovative, progressive, and proactive in order to support and reflect the university’s goals and objectives. The Vice President will advise the President and other senior leaders on communications-related matters; manage the communications and marketing team, overseeing a full suite of communications initiatives including reputation management, social media platforms, content development, and internal communications; collaborate with communications leaders in various schools and units; and serve as a key member of the university’s crisis management and response group.


The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a track-record of transforming organizations. With a creative mindset and demonstrated excellence in communications, marketing, and/or public affairs, this senior leader will have the ability to work with and inspire stakeholders across the university.
