Business Leader of Creative Management

As our Business Leader of Creative Management, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for the overall creative management vision of Marketing and the company’s creative platform. You will manage a team that works closely with our external and in-house creative agencies, internal business areas and Marketing leadership to execute on creative insights, develop integrated creative across the strategic plan, and manage the creative production of assets – delivering highly effective, brand-growing marketing across digital, social and mass-media channels.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Own and continually seek to improve Marketing’s vision for creative management
  • Consult with business groups and use a deep understanding of creative management – working closely with Marketing groups (strategy, creative and PR) to identify the creative needs of our business and develop creative programs to accomplish them
  • Collaborate with Marketing and company leadership, our external and in-house agencies (Director of Creative) and other business unit leaders to add value throughout the creative process and deliver best-in-class creative that accomplishes Marketing’s objectives and company goals
  • Act as primary day-to-day agency creative contact for the company’s external Agency of Record
  • Manage an internal team and also oversee creative agency resources in the creation, coordination and production of large-scale creative and advertising campaign initiatives
  • Work closely with the Senior Advisor of Marketing Operations, proving creative and strategic insight on external partner selection and media decisions to help maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of a creative campaign’s delivery
  • Develop and grow team into independent, highly creative thinkers that are capable of providing conceptual value, leading a creative management brief with limited oversight and manage the coordination and production of a commercial shoot – from initial creative concept to rough-cuts and delivery of final assets
  • Report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, acting in an advisory role to provide insight and guidance on all aspects of creative management within the Marketing department
  • Extra hours may be required (nights/weekends) in order to meet time-bound marketing initiatives and peak season deadlines
  • Frequent travel required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or related field of study (e.g. Visual Communications)
  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in marketing and/or advertising with previous work experience in brand or agency management that’s focused on creative, strategy and production
  • Understand all aspects of brand marketing and communication
  • Experience in the management, execution and delivery of creative campaigns within and across digital, social and mass-media channels
  • Ability to evaluate a creative idea using consumer research, insights and accumulated experience and business results
  • Deep knowledge of marketing trends and technology
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to establish a creative and strategic direction that delivers against department and company goals
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and grow a team to achieve results
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal/external business groups and ad agencies at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver communications (written and verbal) and facilitate presentations to audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-faced environment with changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others to achieve desired results and work with other organizational leaders to meet company goals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
