This position's primarily responsibility is to serve as chief content developer and curator across the multi-schools and disparate departments of the Bouv? College of Health Sciences across multiple platforms, both online and offline. He/She will serve as the chief writer/editor and production manager for the College's flagship quarterly publication - Vital Signs. Duties include establishing and maintaining high editorial standards, editing, researching and pitching content ideas, assigning and critiquing writing, and working with contributors including writers, graphic designers, videographers, photographers and web developers. In addition to collaborating with digital media and strategic marketing colleagues as well as faculty, staff and researchers, he/she will work closely with colleagues in Advancement, Enrollment Management, Student Services, etc. He/She will is responsible for writing and editing compelling short- and long-form copy for various marketing and communications projects. Projects include informational, promotional and other communication vehicles, such as leadership remarks, internal talking points, digital content, collateral, annual/impact reports, op-eds, text for videos/podcasts and more. Will secure and direct freelance and agency writers.

The Editorial Director is the senior editor for the College, responsible for establishing an editorial style guide and holding all content contributors to the highest standards of reporting, accuracy, and exposition.
