SUMMARY Oversees and executes the Product business development plans, strategies, and objectives, including government and commercial opportunities for analog/mixed signal and power (IC's). Support the business growth objectives of the Cobham Semiconductor Solutions business unit. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement strategic business development plans and strategies to support the business growth objectives of the Business AreaPerform market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities for the Business Area, including new products, and new market opportunities for existing productsIdentify and develop partnerships and strategic alliance opportunities to support the Business Area growthIdentify new government and commercial contract opportunities, coordinate, develop and write contract proposals to obtain desired contract businessDevelop and write business quotations and proposalsCollaborate with the Business Area Director, Product Marketing Engineer and Sales to assist in the identification of product/business opportunitiesEngage in new product planning utilizing gained knowledge from customer interactions and industry trends including obtaining Voice of the CustomerEngage with the operations side of the product development and manufacturing process in an effort to help resolve issues in product test and order fulfillment, as necessarySupport Sales in Bookings/Billings Execution and TrackingEstablish Price and Margin GoalsDevelop/Maintain 5 Year Product RoadmapsNew Product Concept Solicitation, Selection and JustificationDevelop Product Introduction, Positioning, Roll-out, and Go To Market Plans (includes launch strategy and launch customers)Develop Seminar, Webinar, Road Show, Videos, Conference, Advertising and Training PlansDevelop Design-win Strategy and Execution PlansDevelop Collateral Material PlansModerate travel (<25%) is required to meet with current and potential customers, partners, etc.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide backup and representation for the Business Area Director in his/her absenceEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree required from a four-year college or university, MSEE or MBA preferredTen years of related experience and/or training is requiredCobham is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and embraces diversity in our employee population.
