Social Media Marketing Intern
Job Title: Social Media Marketing Specialist
Location: Denver, CO
Employment Type: Intern, part-time (~10 hours per week)
Compensation: Unpaid to begin, but stipend may become available
Duration: Through the end of October 2018

About Us: Healthy Food for Denver is a citizen lead campaign for two November ballot initiatives in Denver County aiming to ensure healthy food access for Denver s kids and Denver s low-income communities

The Position: The part-time Social Media Marketing Specialist will work directly with our Social Media Team and Campaign Committee to develop and post social media content promoting the Healthy Food for Denver initiatives and foster community engagement. Along with creative content, you will create visual content (e.g. infographics), and engage the public on social media platforms to increase volunteer participation and support. As you work to impact Denver policy, you will receive mentorship from our Social Media Team (a set of well-connected experts in media and social media communication) and our Campaign Committee (a group of passionate individuals with expertise in the food policy and the local community).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Create digital content and distribute to social media platforms
Engage in inbound marketing and organic growth via social media
Create electronic and print marketing flyers, brochures, ads, social media banners, etc.
Generate content for follow-up emails and email campaigns
Generate monthly reporting for campaign
Monitor keyword traffic and trends
Other projects and duties as assigned
10+ hours a week from hire date until the end of October

REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent Writing and Communication Skills
Excellent Organizational Skills
Ability to multi-task and analyze performance
Self-Motivated with strong work ethic
Team Player
Strong computer/internet skills
Comfortable working with a multitude of social platforms
Photography and videography skills a plus
Familiarity with platforms like Canva and Hootsuite a plus
